With the advent of new abortion laws being introduced from New York, Virginia and now Arizona, have the legislatures stepped beyond the bounds of morality concerning the worth of a human life. Have the states governments truly become the mirror of a fascist state of the 1930’s? Abortion as defined in roe vs wade used the argument of the a “woman’s right to her body“, which if you have read the argument of that case, isn’t what the judgement says, but that’s way beyond the point we have reached now. It has now become the question of the viability of life, meaning will this human being be a benefit or a detriment to the state? Meaning, would the human be a burden upon the state, and unproductive in society? Should they be allowed to live, should the parent or attending physician have the right to decide if they should be afforded every available medical treatment to maintain their life, or just simply die. No matter that they are a living human being, this is not abortion this is murder. The taking of a human life by law is considered murder in every state of the United States, and is unlawful. You would think that this is a no brainer, but it isn’t. The new definition of abortion would be state sanctioned murder. No different than that performed by the Nazi’s in 1930’s and 40’s.
The second part of this idea is once the laws have been enacted what would prevent the courts to decide that the legislation could also be applied to the elderly, or the disabled? A simple interpretation as to the “meaning” of the law could be expanded to include those mentioned above. In essence becoming the encompassing term of “euthanasia.” Which is condemned by the United Nations as a “Crime against humanity.” Americans are ever so ready to finger point to any opposing political view as being a “neo-nazi” or “fascist”. Yet embrace the very same tenants of that ideological philosophy concerning the meaning of a human life. The Constitution of the United States guarantees the right to life, and makes no proviso for the states to make a determination as to who lives or dies, except in criminal cases. It may be just me, but it seems those who shout the loudest about the republic being in peril are the ones who are endangering it.
If you read this are unaware of what I have referred to, then I suggest you quiz your representatives of the states about their stand on revising or introducing new laws in your state. And if they are enacting upon the will of the people, then we have solved the over population problem. I seldom recommend movies to view , but I think “Logan’s Run” was a very good movie.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
